At the end of this session, the participant will be able to: • Understand the practical aspects of performing 2D strain imaging • Review the specific 2D strain online and offline echo analysis packages. • Demonstrate in a small group setting how to optimally use the 2D strain analysis in clinical applications such as follow-up of cancer chemotherapy patients and cardiomyopathies. And learn to evaluate the adequacy of acquired two-dimensional images for the assessment of RV strain and to perform free wall and total RV strain in various clinical situations where strain provides incremental value to traditional parameters of RV function.
